There are few issues that need to be considered while playing the Texas Hold’em game. You need to do few adjustments in order to win the game. Some of the issues that are commonly dealt with are:

Are the blinds large?

What is the amount available in front of you?

What is the amount your opponent has?

Which position are you sitting in?

Once you ask these key questions, you should be making few key adjustments.

Be Selective in Pre Flop Hands

If there is any first level adjustment you should make then it is the selection. You should be choosing hands carefully, before the flop. Sometimes in aggressive Texas Hold’em game majority of the hands are raised before pre flop. In those situations you won’t be able to afford to call or raise, after the pre flop because you will have poor hands. You are lucky if you are sitting in the early position.

With hands you play Be More Aggressive Pre Flop

If you wish to push or remove marginal players out of the tournament, then you need to follow an aggressive approach. In order to do this you should be raising or re-raising bets, before the pre flop. There are few cases where you should be re-raising the bet to win the pot. I faced the similar situation while I was playing a tight aggressive game last week. In that game I had “AK” on the big blind. My fellow players who were around the table were raising only weak hands. One of the early players raised his bet to $75. In that situation four players called, one player increased his bet to four hundred dollars ($400). I was sitting on big blind with $1500 behind me. In the final round I re-raised and won the pot.

In order to call or raise Follow 10% rule

Generally, there will be a situation where neither you, nor your opponent will have less amount or less chips. In that situation either you fold the fold suited connectors, or low pairs, or both. It’s always good to backup your money and keep your money safe, so that you can get paid off. In that situation all small hands turn into a bid hand. Just like the case of a straight or a set. Follow these rules carefully and try to use them in the game. Bigger blinds need bigger hands, watch out for bigger blinds and make moves steadily. These possible scenarios can help you get acquainted with the exciting thrill of playing Texas Hold’Em.
